Maybe just a lil Mediocrity: Video Bomb [No Rate]

Well since T.I. dropped No Mediocre twitter got set on fire by a thot bot in the words of Tip. Azealia Banks was being her usual twitter banger self when she took to twitter to critique T.I.’s latest single featuring Iggy Azalea. Everyone can think back to the blatant shade Banks was throwing Iggy when she made the Freshman Cover of XXL in 2012. Well seems like Azealia Banks is just a hater of Grand Hustle and probably not happy with what her least to say lackluster career has become. I actually hadn’t heard anything from her besides the song where she’s wearing the pigtails in the video. (Um yeah my point and case I only remembered how her hair was.) I found her banter to be a step above fourth grade. She came for Tiny and  Tiny sent T.I. Regardless of their relationship and what they're going through which might I add is not my, TMZ, Justin Beiber, Slick Rick, or let alone mediocre Azealia Banks’s business. Only Tip, Tiny, and the Lord know what’s truly going on. Bank’s acted as run-of-the-mill  as they come. Perhaps she was just pointing out someone else imperfections because she is in fact mediocre and didn’t fit the type T.I. likes. I will not be using this post to shed light to something that is said to be over and done with but I will leave you with another great one for the summer. Check out “No Mediocre” below. Definitely on my summer list. And Iggy looked Ah-mazing!!

Mahje 4 Quarters Video Bomb w/ Rate

Let me first start off by saying I like the concept. But to be completely honest the video had me thinking I popped a pill. I was really thinking my eyes were playing tricks on me but after a while I figured that's just how the video was.  Mahje did something awesome when he got this particular track produced by my homie Part 2wo. I honestly like his productions. The visuals definitely had me feeling a bit trippy as I said but given the content and some of the activity going on in the video I understand. Leon C did a good job with his delivery and so did Mahje. I have listened to other songs by him so I know his potential. I have rated this video and its below for your viewing pleasures so check it out.

Project Youngin' Video Bomb w/ Rate

This is the newest video from St. Petersburg rapper Project Youngin'. He is giving you that grown and sexy vibe with what I like to call Hood R&B. It takes place near the water and at a big luxurious house. He is being a complete gentleman to his female costar and crooning to her with his rhymes. The visuals for me represent exactly what he is talking about in his song and helped him further depict what his definition of a “Good Time” is. I really dig the folks out of my city because they always find a way to show love to others doing their thing in our city or surrounding areas. I peeped the girl with the Envy magazine and have had the pleasure of reading a few old issues myself. This was a great song and the visuals definitely help further give off that summer vibe. Check out my rate and the video below.

Pills, Potions, and The Game| Nicki Minaj Video Bomb w/ Rate

Well I definitely didn't want this reborn Nicki track to go unrated and not talked about on #E2TS. This song is a classic and a reminder for me of her first album Pink Friday. I was starting to think that this Rap goddess was getting lost but it seems as though she was just finding herself again. The visuals for most would be said to be a little weird and out there but if you really paid attention to Nicki early in her career weird is her middle name. She gave me the whole Lady Gaga, Katy Perry vibe just not as bold as those two ladies come. As always she had a leading man in the video and he definitely was great eye candy. She took it there with a shirtless Game in what some may say were intimate poses and shots. I enjoyed the video and liked all the cool effects. When I first heard the song I was instantly like YES!!!! She's back! The video further solidified that. I have rated the video and it is below for your viewing pleasures. Enjoy!

Ears to the Streets Eyes on the Underground

I'm sure some, not all artist and music based professions know I exclusively show case underground and independent artist locally based normally but I also showcase the same type of artist around the country and internationally. A few weeks back I started doing a satellite radio show on a Hip-hop based radio station called HipHopulist Radio. The show airs every Tuesday at 6 pm with a re air at 10 pm eastern standard time. If you miss that day it will re air Thursday at 6pm. (eastern) I have teamed up with an awesome team over at HHR to bring yet another platform for artist that consider their selves as independent or underground artist. With E2TS and Hood Watch my goal is to share with other active music listeners and enthusiast exactly what no name artists have to offer. Mainstream radio is already saturated with big names and local artist often have a hard time getting their music heard and some of them are actually better than mainstream artist. I hope by extending these platforms to those in my city as well as surrounding cities and states that I can help them get heard beyond the scope of where they are located. I ask that you pass the word on to other local artist that could use a boost in getting their music heard as well as continue to support M$C as a movement by submitting the music and videos. Also asking me to come see shows and in a whole supporting movements designed to help artist win. I am hoping to see a lot more artist submitting music and I definitely encourage the likes of people just starting out to submit music. Even though I mainly focus on Hip Hop and rap music R&B artist, country, pop, and anything in between don’t feel shy to submit your music as well. Ear 2 The Streets is free range and  I will cover anything music base on there. I am so appreciative to those that believe in me and take the time to thank, encourage, and include me in on what they are doing music wise. I ask that if you are an independent artist no matter your genre that you submit your music and/ or videos to e2tsmusicsubmissions@gmail.com to be considered for the blog or radio show. Thanks in advance and keep grinding. In the worlds of Juvenile “Y’all need to open ya ears up and soak this game up and of nobody don’t know ya Ima make y’all famous.”

Video Bomb: Cristol ft. Blackboi| I Cant Lie w/ rate

The official video " I Cant Lie" by Cristol ft. Blackboi dropped yesterday and has set the tone for this already hot summer we're in for. The video is set on a boat, at the beach, and at a mansion. It screams summer jam! It features cameos from local artist from St.Pete like Marvelous Youngin' Blow, and Famous Kid Brick and also features a lot of beautiful women of all racist parading around in their bathing suits. It definitely holds true to the type of music that Cristol produces and adds a little R&B with Blackboi's vocals. I enjoyed the snippet I saw a while back and was waiting to see the finished product. I hope you guys enjoy the final cut as much as I did. The rate and video are below so check them out. Enjoy!

Video Bomb: Blow YMS ft. Haitian Fresh w/ Rate

Since I heard the snippet about two weeks ago via Facebook I have
been patiently waiting for the whole enchilada. This song is the epitome of a hot summer for St. Petersburg rapper Blow. He teamed up with that "Zoe" Haitian Fresh and delivered what I consider a saucy summer banger. I love the fact that they tied in the Spanish being utilized with the likes of idolized Drug lord, Tony Montana. There we’re a few scenes at the beginning from the iconic movie, Scarface and even ended the video with the familiar scene “Say Hello to my little friend” Amazing use of words, perhaps they just taught a few Spanish class drop outs a few things. I want you guys to check out the video that dropped yesterday and be on the lookout for more from Blow and his YMS camp. I have included my rate for this video and hope you guys enjoy Blow’s latest work. #Pressplay And check out his latest mixtape[Been Livin Off Wealth] hosted by the late and great Dj Nando
