Video Bomb: What's Love|A.V. w/ Rate

First and foremost shout out to A.V. for coming hard on a sample and further more channeling this weird Soulja Slim / B.G. vibe. I'll be honest and say I didn't expect this much raw and real rap on this track. The video is Directed by Motion Minds, and while most rappers do visuals where there are home scenes or studio scenes I thought it was appropriate for this video and made it more lovable. The fact that this is a Florida bred rapper sounding like he from New Orleans is a pleasant surprise.  I love finding hidden gems like this. The content is relatable to anyone living the street life or knows loss of someone who lives or lived that lifestyle. A.V. touches on personal accounts of dangerous situations he faced as an adolescent, as well as the all to familiar reality that a lot of young black male's face with incarceration. When I first heard the Tina sample I wasn't sure what to expect given Tina was recounting an abusive relationship in the original. Yet I love the twist the sample presented with a real rap feel. I feel like as powerful as the message was he and his videographer could have come up with a lot more as far as a story line. I did enjoy seeing A.V. in almost a reflective state when he was in the living room and the family portraits were being shown. I really like this song and can't wait to see what A.V. and Wynners Circle have up their sleeves. Trinidad James X Bankroll Fresh| Daddy D Video Bomb w/o Rate

Initially I was thinking it was a sick joke when I saw it featured Bankroll Fresh but once I actually saw him in the video, I was instantly sad. Even after death he still lives. That is one thing I can say I love about music. Even after the musician dies, their music lives forever. This particular song is on my current playlist and is definitely added to the favorites vault. Trinidad James won me over about two years ago. And while others may not like his style, I appreciate it. I have to admit it was rather creepy to see Bankroll in the video. I know it most likely was made prior to his demise but given it was recently released makes it that much of a reminder that he is no longer making music. I did not include a rate with this video bomb given the artist are both well known. Check out the latest Trinidad James visuals for "Daddy D" with an eerie yet appreciated last look at Bankroll Fresh.

Teo|Video Bomb: The Truth w/ Rate

With Teo on the track you will never be disappointed. With a real rap foundation and relatable content you can only feel him on what he is saying. If you been through the struggle that so many people try and overcome every day you can definitely vibe out to 10 Hunnit front man Teo. Shot by Bungy Clips, Teo brings the city out and by city I mean the entire Child's Park which consist of his many supporters and fans. It is a straight pull up and chill type situation. Being from that same side of town it is great to see the love and support he has. His following is building daily and I am most definitely co signing for this artist. He links up with familiar faces in the rap crowd in St.Pete such as Project Youngin, Co-Ke, and others.  Paying homage to his Cousin Fats he is real, raw, and The Truth. While writing this review I actually had a conversation with him via Facebook and I was telling him upon seeing the shirts with Fats face and name upon them I saw this video as a tribute to him and he said "That's how I feel everyday! Really never cared for this shit, but he always believed in it so it's my way of keeping the legacy going." I have heard Teo mention his cousin in various songs and I would say Teo has been keeping his memory alive and making him proud. Check out the visuals and my rate for "The Truth by Teo of 10 Hunnit below.
