Musical Dopeness usually always leads me to international territory. I stumbled across these guys while on one of my many musical journeys, MIC LOWRY is a vocal harmony group out of Liverpool, England. Comprised of five memebers, Ben Sharples, Kaine Ofoeme, Akia Jones, Delleile Ankrah, and Michael Welch. Their genre you wonder? R'n'B Soul. Please believe me when I say they give me soul, life, and water. They are handsome and they all blend so well together. Not to mention I feel like their name is a play on Bad Boy's Character played by Will Smith "Mike Lowry" so I dugs that. And the way they transitioned between each song. My Goodness! I get such a great feeling listening to them. I like Tory Lanez and Bryson Tiller and even got reconnected with the voice of Teedra Moses but this quintet did all three songs justice. I was pleased. I hope to see a lot more of them really soon. They're what my late nights and wine been missing.Don't believe me? Check out this group kill three covers at the same damn time below.
I must say that I was pleasantly surprised to see what this Australian female rapper brought to the table. I'm not even gonna lie, I was expecting to hear Iggy yet I got more of that Aussie tongue and her swag is cute. I loved the girlie aspects she brought to the video and really appreciated the usage of the bandanna, the gold chain, and the sunglasses that she sported. The video was so dope meets international. The valleys and hills reminded me of an area on GTA so from the start I was locked in and the city line shot was cool, it's always nice to see rooftop shots. I loved the concept even though it was typical for a female artist. The tub scene at this point is cliche and the lip stick on the mirror is a recycled act. I checked her out after Rah Digga made a reference to her in an interview with Thisis50 Radio that involved her opinion of Iggy Azalea (also from Australia). Check that interview out below after you check out Chelsea Jane's video "Where The Boys At?" --M$C
2015 couldn't have started any better with all these dope female artist ending 2014 just right. Below you will find mainly female rappers but will come across a couple female singers that I can't get enough of. Top 10 will definitely have you googling a few of them while the video concepts below will have future artist trying to up there video concept game. Enjoy my Top 5 as it features a few well known female emcees as well as some readers aren't familiar with. I have also showcased four ladies I feel like the world should keep an eye on as well as a few freestyles and covers by some talented females. I love doing "Power of She" post because it's all about girl power and the idea that females will one day be able to unite and hold as much weight as our male counterparts. Enjoy the compilation and feel free to suggest any female artist for a future "Power of She" post. --MSC

I'm sure
some, not all artist and music based professions know I exclusively show case underground and independent artist locally based normally but I also showcase
the same type of artist around the country and internationally. A few weeks
back I started doing a satellite radio show on a Hip-hop based radio station
called HipHopulist Radio. The show airs every Tuesday at 6 pm with a re air at
10 pm eastern standard time. If you miss that day it will re air Thursday at
6pm. (eastern) I have teamed up with an awesome team over at HHR to bring yet
another platform for artist that consider their selves as independent or
underground artist. With E2TS and Hood Watch my goal is to share with other
active music listeners and enthusiast exactly what no name artists have to
offer. Mainstream radio is already saturated with big names and local artist
often have a hard time getting their music heard and some of them are
actually better than mainstream artist. I hope by extending these platforms to
those in my city as well as surrounding cities and states that I can help them
get heard beyond the scope of where they are located. I ask that you pass the
word on to other local artist that could use a boost in getting their music
heard as well as continue to support M$C as a movement by submitting the music
and videos. Also asking me to come see shows and in a whole supporting
movements designed to help artist win. I am hoping to see a lot more artist
submitting music and I definitely encourage the likes of people just starting
out to submit music. Even though I mainly focus on Hip Hop and rap music
R&B artist, country, pop, and anything in between don’t feel shy to submit
your music as well. Ear 2 The Streets is free range and I will cover anything music base on there. I
am so appreciative to those that believe in me and take the time to thank,
encourage, and include me in on what they are doing music wise. I ask that if
you are an independent artist no matter your genre that you submit your music and/
or videos to e2tsmusicsubmissions@gmail.com
to be considered for the blog or radio show. Thanks in advance and keep grinding.
