2016 Recap| 20 X 16

Happy New Year From #E2TS!!

Where has this year gone? No like seriously I feel like the masses are just now finding out that you can be ugly and be your daddy son or that You can steal her man. Let's not forget that we loss Prince, Shawty Lo and Bank Roll Fresh this year (Amongst others). I won't even forget to mention that thanks to the Mannequin challenge that I will dub 2 Chainz's originally since his video is where I first saw it being executed flawlessly actually made Rae Sremmurd's song Black Beatles blow up like bomb. Or that Snoop encouraged the bubble gum, mumble rappers to continue to do what they do. Why he did that, the world may never know but it appears that Lil Uzi Vert, Desiigner, 21 Savage and (my personal favorite ) 22 Savage can still continue to deface the foundation of music.Even though I must admit a few of these mumble bee's are catchy and I couldn't help but add a few tracks to my personal playlist. The different challenges that made everyone a rapper was interesting to see.  I have tried to cover everything under the sun in this recap. All the way to the fact that I spent two full weeks binge watching a biopic series about Celia Cruz which consisted of 80 episodes all in Spanish with English subtitles. No I will not be giving a recap on the show but if you are not familiar with who Celia Cruz was, stop reading this, open another tab and google her. Below I have compiled my top 20 tracks of 2016 and it was so hard to compile a years worth of music into 20 songs and to follow it up with 16 mixtapes/ albums. This years music selections were hot and gives so much promise to what 2017 will produce. I want to also Thank You guys for checking out my blog. 2017 is going to be an amazing year and I wish all artist and musically based professionals great prosperity in this upcoming New Year. May you all be blessed and keep your Ears to the Street.

Musical Dopeness| First Lady Michelle Obama X Missy Elliot Carpool Karaoke

Simply because the Obama's will be gone soon, I have to share the First Lady's Carpool Karaoke experience. I don't know how I continuously find myself in the Youtube video vortex but one thing leads to another and I'm watching animals twerking and Michelle Obama getting crunk with Missy Elliot. I thought this would be a great way to start off the day with a little bit of the first family mixed with a lot of  that Urban culture that keeps getting appropriated. Check Out Our First Lady getting her freak on before they bid farewell to America.

Cristol ft. Tom G| Video Bomb w/o Rate

From here on out I feel like it goes without saying that Cristol holds his own. I will no longer be rating his craft. I will simply be lending my opinion on whatever his current body of work is. Currently "We Ain't Hurtin" has finally become a visual. It features Tampa rapper Tom G. When these two link up I swear its a Jook overload. Cristol's love for his fan's is apparent in majority of his work and it makes me appreciate his artistry. He is one of the few artist that I can name that interacts with his fan base, includes them in his projects and is an all around humble dude. This particular track is up there with my top Cristol tracks. I love that we are Florida grown because our videos deliver hot fire without even trying. The blue skies, the beautiful women, and the feel good mood the song puts me in makes it that banger to add to the motivation playlist. Tom G is a Og when it comes to this and I love when he comes through for other artist. His feature is never half ass and adds to an already classic track, While we can all agree Cristol always has hot females usually gyrating to his track this particular track doesn't have that at all. It's a nice change not saying you cant do a nice two step to the track but it's nice to see he can sometimes step out of his niche enough to do his job of grabbing more fans. If you are not a Cristol fan please get acquainted with the King of Jook. Check out these dope visuals from Cristol below as well as some Still Shots from the video. And be sure to connect more with the artist below.

Smurf The God X Ooouuu|Video Bomb w/o Rate

I have not been into any of the freestyles that have been dropping for Young M.A's hit single "Ooouuu" It's as if she has already claimed it and delivered it. But none the less artist are still gonna hop on a fire beat and try and put they finesse on it. I actually indulged in Smurf The God's rendition and lets just say I'm glad I did. This  video bomb detonated almost a week ago and while the video is just the homies chilling at the studio while Smurf delivers his bars it gets the job done. I love the fact that despite sticking to the most part to the way M.A delivers it, he actually gave me that hard Florida vibe. I could hear the song go from north to south as he spit his verses. I think you guys should indulge and press play below to check out one of Lacosca front men as he laces this popular track.

Big Trin| "No Pre$$ure No Diamond$ Mixtape Review

I see a new trend with this pimpin', look, she got dreams and want a nigga who winnin'.
--Big Trin
"Rollie"

Orlando rapper Big Trin took the summer and put it in a headlock and never let go. July 2016 he dropped  "No Pre$$ure No Diamond$" This tape is lyrical, current, and whats next. There are so many bubble gum rappers out now, that I am always happy to actually listen for punchlines and adlibs. I like to see an artist actually put that time into their craft. I am always happy to review a Big Trin project and I love that he actually comes back to be critiqued time and time again. The intro "Son of John" was definitely a kick in the right direction as the mixtape gets even better with tracks like That Pressure, Juice and Rollie to name a few. Working with ayotheproducer and firehotbeats both whom produced majority of the tracks on the Mixtape, Ayo is grammy nominated and has produced multiple hit records including the smash "John" by Rick Ross and Lil Wayne. The production is hip and trendy, I'm sure I'm not the only one that knows that a beat can make or break a track. The content was there and the passion was not far behind as it show cased track after track MBM is definitely behind this young man and  I am pleased yet again with Big Trin's body of work and I am glad he sent it to me to check out. I can't even fathom what he has coming next but whatever it is, I'm ready! Check out the entire mixtape below and be sure to connect with Big Trin below.
