Maybe just a lil Mediocrity: Video Bomb [No Rate]

Well since T.I. dropped No Mediocre twitter got set on fire by a thot bot in the words of Tip. Azealia Banks was being her usual twitter banger self when she took to twitter to critique T.I.’s latest single featuring Iggy Azalea. Everyone can think back to the blatant shade Banks was throwing Iggy when she made the Freshman Cover of XXL in 2012. Well seems like Azealia Banks is just a hater of Grand Hustle and probably not happy with what her least to say lackluster career has become. I actually hadn’t heard anything from her besides the song where she’s wearing the pigtails in the video. (Um yeah my point and case I only remembered how her hair was.) I found her banter to be a step above fourth grade. She came for Tiny and  Tiny sent T.I. Regardless of their relationship and what they're going through which might I add is not my, TMZ, Justin Beiber, Slick Rick, or let alone mediocre Azealia Banks’s business. Only Tip, Tiny, and the Lord know what’s truly going on. Bank’s acted as run-of-the-mill  as they come. Perhaps she was just pointing out someone else imperfections because she is in fact mediocre and didn’t fit the type T.I. likes. I will not be using this post to shed light to something that is said to be over and done with but I will leave you with another great one for the summer. Check out “No Mediocre” below. Definitely on my summer list. And Iggy looked Ah-mazing!!

Meet A - Block:
He is a musician based out of Germany. While growing up, music has always been a part of his life and will always be in it. His rap career was set to start, when he was rapping to one of his favorite songs, and a random guy attention was caught by A-Block's skills. He told A-Block that his delivery was so great, that he should become a rapper. A-Block questioned himself and felt so confident that he started his journey to become one of the best musicians to come out of the Germany area. Around late 2007, A-Block was on Myspace listening to songs and also networking with a few artist. He ran into another musician by the name of Joshua Davis (Tony Tone Montana). Him and Tony Tone talked for hours and formed a tight friendship, which led him a position in Black City Hustla Records LLC.
A-Block is on a mission for success and will not let nothing come in his way to get it. What sets him apart from other musicians, is that he brings not only his story to the game but also tell stories that his fans can relate. The songs that he produces, not only influences others to the point where they cry, but also to where they think that they are the ones who are spitting the lyrics. He also shows his sense of humor and is not afraid to show or tell what he is feeling. He writes music to express his feelings, in a positive way, instead of committing crimes.

In conclusion, A-Block hopes that his songs can help others, whenever they are feeling down, to let them know they're not alone. He encourages everyone to be true to themselves and also if they have a dream, make them come to reality.

Meet T- Dub:
Born in Monroe, Louisiana and raised in Tallulah, Louisiana. T.Davis (T-Dub) is known to be a great musician, Even thought he was known as "Tony Tone Montana's lil bro" he set his own path to follow and started to do his thing as a successful artist with a wild party mood. His songs are mostly meant for clubs and stage performance and that's why he rules the industry now.
Meet Tony Tone Montana:
Joshua Davis is an American musician. Tony Tone Montana is named after the infamous fictional character from the movie “Scar face”, Tony Montana. Tony Tone Montana brings a unique southern style that produces a form of cocaine to the ears , that keeps his “fiends” (Fans) asking for more of his product. Even though both Tony Montana’s are different, they both shared similarities to be bosses and also to own the world.

The Prince of Orlando... [Spotlight Artist: Prince Greg]

With everyone now a days’ thinking they are the next big thing, there is no doubt in my mind that Orlando, Florida native Prince Greg will be big. His intricate lyrics and real world experience, reflects everything that a young black male thinks about or wants out of life. His intriguing titled mixtapes give the listeners just a preview of what type of person he truly is. Prince Greg states his claim as Rap's next king with his EP Release of   "More Than a Man" And if I can remain true to myself and be frank he has various songs that will draw the listeners in and really make you check for the next song, and the next song. So from a Prince he shall be King from what I have sampled and listened to. After releasing his last mixtape "Eagle Wings" earlier last year in March and landing on HotNewHipHop.com's Heatseekers [Edition 11], Prince Greg keeps the ball rolling with his "More Than a Man" EP  “More Than a Man” serves as a lead up to Prince Greg's upcoming mixtape “Less Than a God 2” and his newest EP release. The EP is straight to the point showcasing his aberrant & lucid lyricism, in his own words, Leave it to him to tell you why this upcoming EP is going to be worth the hear Prince Greg said "it shows why I'm up next." On "More Than a Man" Prince Greg mostly carry's the rapping torch by himself, but brings along his compadre’s Big Trin & BoGODY to take turns trading verses on the infectious  tracks "Way Too Young" & the luxuriant "Real Nigga Party". His Production finds itself ranging from EDM-Rap infused sounds to sample driven hip hop gems with credit to DJ Mustard, Cardiak, 1500 Or Nothin, The Futuristiks, @firehotbeats, Blood Diamonds, Bink & Yung Berg. Prince Greg shows immense drive and with continuous grind I wouldn’t be surprised if in the next few months his career just takes off  like a jumbo jet. Below I dig deep into who the artist known as Prince Greg is and I  find out what really inspires his music, why he named his mixtape MTAM and his process of picking songs for his mixtapes. I hope you guys enjoy the Q & A

Q & A WITH PRINCE GREG:

1.WHAT INSPIRES YOUR MUSIC?

Prince Greg : "What inspires my music is my life, my thoughts, the people I care for and everything I've been through for the most part. But also my desire to be great inspires me because at the end of the day when I'm in that grave my accomplishments will determine the imprint I made on the world."

2. WHEN DID YOU KNOW THAT YOU WANTED TO RAP?

Prince Greg : "I would always freestyle and play around with rapping from the age of 4 years old but I'd say about 6-7 years ago it grew from just a hobby to what I live for. Also just being influenced by the music and the artist of that era like Dipset, Lil Wayne & Lloyd Banks gave me a different perspective on rap from what I was use to in Florida's music scene and helped me cultivate my style."

3.HOW LONG DOES IT TYPICALLY TAKE YOU TO FIND THE RIGHT SONGS FOR YOUR MIXTAPES'?

Prince Greg : "On average I'd say it takes me 2-3 months to find the right songs for my projects. Writing and creating for me is a never ending routine but my projects usually spawn out of 4 or 5 tracks that I feel strongly about and then I build on-top of that. Along with that finding the right production for the feel and vibe of the project I'm creating plays a key & essential part in the process."

4. WHY DID YOU PICK MTAM AS A NAME FOR YOUR MIXTAPE? DID YOU HAVE OTHER CHOICES?

Prince Greg : "More Than A Man was chosen as the title because it's where I feel I am skillfully at amongst the music I hear in today's music climate. It also coincides with another mantra I love which is also a mixtape series of mine called 'Less Than A God'. I feel that when it comes down to bars & the quality of music being created I  am ahead of the pack so I am "More Than A Man", but I've yet to receive the accolades to match the skill I possess so that makes me still 'Less Than A God'. But best believe I'll reach that God status, just watch me."

King of the New South [Spotlight Artist: King Phy Da Beast]

Self-Proclaiming himself, “One of the hottest rappers on Earth.” You can’t really tell the Confident St. Petersburg, Florida native rapper King Phy he ain’t the Sugar Honey Ice Tea. He considers himself a rapper from a city that has no major support but he continues to put on for his city regardless of the skeptics. He has performed numerous shows throughout the U.S. with mainstream stars like Trick Daddy, Triple C’s, B.G. and Twista to name a few. He has also performed with local as well as indie artists. Being an 80’s baby had its’ perks and because music was so diverse back then he grew up listening to all types of music but Hip- Hop was just that genre he was naturally attracted to. He recalls being in his first group at the age of 6 and is ½ of the group “Da Real Loud Pack Mafia” ( who have been featured on worldcomeup.com) He gushes about being a great father to his sons and says Run-ins with the law and stints in jail and prison caused many setbacks in his music career but King Phy is back and ready to continue to show the world why he is King. He is anticipating the release of his latest Street Album sometime this year, “Trapping Outta Space”, which has all original production and a great balance of street life and sultry street anthems for the ladies. He comes across as a very well accepted rapper in his home town as well as in surrounding cities and states. But don't call him a rapper he prefers being called a "Clean Artist" He is also a business man and looks at himself as a mogul. He is the CEO of BUTCHA Block Muzik.  I see nothing but good for this artist as he brings Trap music a refreshing reboot with singles like “Street Dreams” and Sh*tted Again Haterz” I wish nothing but continued success to King Phy as he kicks off the new year with new music and another chance to soar in his artistry. Below are a couple links to his songs on soundcloud and official artwork for #TrappinOuttaSpace. There are also videos from a few years back that you can check out. As you guys should know I do a Q & A with the spotlight artist check out the dope responses from King Phy below.

[KING PHY]: No date yet, but Soon!
[MSC]: What sets you apart from other rappers?
