It is the 9th month of the year and Cardi B has literally made a believer out of all of us. She has the #2 song in the country and even got Kodak Black on the remix for her hit "Bodak Yellow". While that is an awesome accomplishment for Cardi, we are here for my Summer 17' playlist. I am aware that a few of you have been patiently waiting for an update and I do apologize for the wait and hiatus. I have a bunch of awesome post lined up for you guys that I hope will bring back nostalgic memories as well as invoke thought and spark conversation. I wanted to come back with my summer playlist because unlike summers back when I was an adolescence I do not get to parlay during the summer or even go out  for that manner these days. There were three days of the year left and all I was playing was this years biggest slayers. I am so glad to be in the business that I am. I am ready to begin 2016 and experience even more dope music. This year some the greatest and best tunes invaded my ears. I felt the music, I was the music, and I became more than music. I could not allow the year to go out without recapping the year in music. I met new artist this year, went to hella shows, and I became a fan again. Ten On Top With Five Below|Jan- August Compiled Spring & Summer

I feel so bad that it is the eighth  month of the new year and there has yet to be a Top 10 with 5 dope mixtapes resting below. Well I am finally about to mind fuck a lot of people because with these summer jams heating up the streets the early part of the year delivered some instant favorites of mine. #SONGBOMB W/ RATE| SHOWOUT TRIPZ

         
Tampa artist ShowOut Tripz dropped his new single " I Deserve You" a few weeks ago and I must say, I  really like the song. I became familiar with Tripz  after I checked out his mixtape "Band Camp". That mixtape included the single "Eat It Like Cake" which is a popular song to twerk to and  "L.O.V. (Lingo)" which is one of my favorites off the mixtape. Tripz is back with something that beats the speakers silly thanks to Average Kid and even though he states clearly in his hook that he isn't trying to be cocky this song has cocky written all over it. The beat compliments this song well and I'm not mad with the blatant auto tune feel, it too compliments the song well and adds something different for Tripz. I've heard him say some real ish and I've heard him motivate some epic ass shaking. This song wasn't anything like his typical twerk song or his relatable advice he gives his listeners about loyalty. I did not feel like shaking my ass. I felt like I should be vibing in someone club, dressed like a boss, with the flyest man in the world on my arm. It's a different vibe then I'm use to from Showout Tripz but I am glad he took it this route. Check out "I Deserve you" by Showout Tripz and I have included my rate below.

Ten on Top|Five Below: The Power Of She Pt. 2

2015 couldn't have started any better with all these dope female artist ending 2014 just right. Below you will find mainly female rappers but will come across a couple female singers that I can't get enough of. Top 10 will definitely have you googling a few of them while the video concepts below will have future artist trying to up there video concept game. Enjoy my Top 5 as it features a few well known female emcees as well as some readers aren't familiar with. I have also showcased four ladies I feel like the world should keep an eye on as well as a few freestyles and covers by some talented females. I love doing "Power of She" post because it's all about girl power and the idea that females will one day be able to unite and hold as much weight as our male counterparts.
