Musical Dopeness| Manning Brothers #TBT "Football on Your Phone"

           

Given that football season is almost here and it is Thursday, I thought it was most appropriate to share some musical dopeness with you guys this #TBT. I enjoyed this commercial a couple years ago, and even touched on it a bit in The Jamie Foxx  Sprint commercial entry that I recently did. I love this commercial and the song was so catchy I originally downloaded it for my personal playlist. The commercial features Peyton and Eli Manning sporting bad wigs and 90's threads. Yet the track is so hot, I can't look a way! It is by far one of my favorite commercials ever. And Direct TV should run it every Football Season because it was that good. #TBT|Top 10 with 5 Below: 2007 Rap Songs and Videos that went hard AF!

It's funny how this top 10 came about but basically I watched the video for "Body" by Jarule ft. Ashley Joi and was like well I use to love this song, when did it come out. Did a quick google search and found out it came out in 2007. So I started wondering what other fantastic songs and videos came out in 2007. Man I swear I love doing these #TBT because I get to recall where I was and and what I was doing when all these songs came out. It was senior year and I had probably the funkiest playlist ever for a 17 year old. I went straight down memory lane while compiling this list and while it may not have all the tunes that were poppin it has the ones I recall vividly singing, dancing and talking about. Plies definitely was hot then, Kanye was the Kanye I love and Soulja Boy came and showed people how to rape the internet game. I hope you guys appreciate the compilation and perhaps a few of these tracks were nostalgic for you guys as well. Of course  I couldn't do a top 10 without 5 below so enjoy the 5 videos that to me were hot!

    We all have that one song that came out a while back but be bumping it like it's the 

hottest track out right now. Well, I do not know where I was when this gem dropped but I was just 

put on to this classic from A$AP Mob featuring A$AP Nest & the amazing Method Man. This 

video is so New York, the verses are so New York, and Method Man [ Moment of Silence for

 this Legend]. He murked it! I am so glad I came across it. Please indulge in this soooo New

 York video. Gotta love the lyrical assassination from each artist. But Meth tho!!

Rell Rock X These Gyals| Video Bomb #TBT

Check out something from the beginning of the year from Camden, New Jersey's own Rell Rock produced by London's own FroBack Music (Credits: Jhene Aiko, Teedra Moses) is taken from Rell Rock's 3rd project "American Hustle" released 11/25. Giving off straight Island vibes from the get go. Rell Rock deliverers a spicy dose of her up north vibe and her quick witted bars. #TBT Video Bomb| Boweeva X Franchise X Fo- Sheezy w/o Rate

Even though this video is two years old its only right that for #TBT I did a rare No rate on a few local artist from St. Petersburg. Fo-Sheezy, Franchise, and Boweeva are similar in content but all very different in their delivery. Each man displays his own persona and all compliment the song. Given that it is based off one of the most popular comedians out now "Kevin Hart" the cameos from random people saying a popular line from one of Hart's skits from his stand up "Laugh at My Pain" made the video enjoyable. I did like each artist and hope you guys enjoy this #TBT video.

I'm a 80's baby but I am 90's raised so now that I am older and have the pleasure in indulging in an old school lunch session on a radio station, please believe I go in. These classic jams were what had the 90's bbq's rocking and the Mid 80's b boys spinning.
