NO JUSTICE NO PEACE

I AM QUITE AWARE THAT MY BLOG IS FOR MUSIC BUT BEING THE OWNER AND WRITER OF THESE HERE WORDS I THINK IT WOULD BE WRONG FOR ME NOT TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE FUCK SHIT OF THE GEORGE ZIMMERMAN CASE. I MEAN COME ON!!!! WE KNOW HE DID IT, ALL THIS EVIDENCE AND DUDE WALKS? MAN I BY NO MEAN HATE WHITE PEOPLE OR BLAME WHITE PEOPLE. IT WOULD BE IGNORANT FOR ME TO JOIN IN THE OTHER DUMMIES WHO REALLY PULLED THE RACE CARD AND RAN WITH IT. ONCE THEY RELEASED THAT GEORGE

ZIMMERMAN WAS HISPANIC THAT SHIT SHOULD HAVE JUST DIED DOWN. HE, HIMSELF IS A MINORITY AND SHOULD UNDERSTAND THE DIFFICULTIES AS A MINORITY BUT GIVEN THAT HE WENT ABOVE AND CLEARLY FUCKING BEYOND HIS CALL OF DUTY IS THE ISSUE. I'M MAD THAT EVEN IN THE UNITED STATES, aka THE LAND OF THE FREE, WE HAVE INNOCENT MEN SITTING BEHIND BARS WITH HUNDRED YEARS. WHILE SOMEONE WHO TOOK THE LIFE OF AN UNARMED TEENAGER IS FREE TO SMILE AT A POST PRESS CONFERENCE AND GO HOME. SYBRINA FULTON AND TRACY MARTIN WILL NEVER SEE THEIR SON CRACK ANOTHER SMILE OR GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL. GEORGE ZIMMERMAN ROBBED THEM OF THAT. AND CLEARLY ROBBERY IS A CRIME AS WELL. WTF!!! I KNOW IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH MY FEELINGS IN THIS CASE AND THIS WILL FOREVER RESONATE TO ME. TO ME ITS BIGGER THAN 911 THIS WAS A MOMENT IN HISTORY THAT WE LEARNED THAT THE LIFE OF A DOG IS MORE VALUABLE THEN THE LIFE OF A HUMAN BEING. I HOPE THOSE JURORS AND THE MURDERED GEORGE ZIMMERMAN CAN SLEEP AT NIGHT. THIS CASE LITERALLY HURTS MY HEART AND SINCE THIS IS STILL A MUSIC BLOG I WANT TO END THIS OFF WITH A SONG BY YOUNG JEEZY CALLED It'S A Cold World. ILL POST A LINK TO THAT VIDEO AS WELL AS A VIDEO THAT I INFORMED A FEW OF MY FB FRIENDS TO CHECK OUT. IT IS QUITE EXPLICIT AND SHOULD NOT BE VIEWED BY MINORS OR THE FAINT OF HEART. #JUSTICEFORTRAYVON #NOJUSTICENOPEACE #WEARETRAYVON #FEB26 #YOUNGJEEZY #RNS

Onyx Premium Nightclub Review

So if you personally know me, you know I don't indulge in going out. I'm not one to be on every party scene. I don't go out unless 1. I'm in the mood to dance or 2. When I'm dating and my dude piss me off I want to go out and have a good time. Well a week ago I went to Onyx Premium Nightclub in downtown St. Pete might I add It was under a another name a few months back so it has always seemed to be a popular spot everybody has been there from Webbie to Gucci Mane. So I'm thinking with a name change and great event hosts that it would be one of those nights. Well I guess an assumptions is designed to make an ass outta someone and I was that ass that night. Being that it was my first time even at the venue I really didn't know what to expect. I have friends that have been there and had given me the run down so I honestly was going to see for myself. I really should go out alone but then I'd be forced to make new friends which isnt all bad but if people are regulars at a place I personally just feel like grade school all over and Im trying to fit in but on this particular night I went with my best friend. And though she's my bestie and I love her dearly she was the one that got me to even get out the house So Im expecting regardless of the results that we gone have a good time. Well there's another assumption and once again whose the ass? ME! Well we get jazzy and head out. When we get there she's the one to ask  the bouncer "is it thick" he replies "well you here when ladies get in free, the performers not even here." So to me that made her feel like ok this about to suck. While me, myself I'm like hell yeah ain't nobody gone have a reason to step on my shoes. I personally didn't care that it was packed because long as there's drinks and music I can vibe by myself. First thing I do is grab a drink my signature (almeretto sour) which one out of two bartenders didnt know how to make properly so my first drink was strong af! But I sipped an vibed to a Dj that I've heard about, even heard kudos about him from my oldest sister from her back in the days partying so his music plus that strong ass drink had me viben it was a bitch don't kill my vibe moment. Well I wouldn't say my vibe got killed but I easily allow the actions of others influence me because I look to myfriend  and she's been on her phone since we got there and I'm constantly like yo why you on your phone. And as matter factly as she could muster she goes. " we'll it's dead in here everybody on they phones." I wasn't though I mean upon walking in I dabbled on it but damn honestly I had been promoting the event for so long I took the outing as a way to transition into my role as Ms Street Cred and to support the home town. Sometimes all we need is a little support. Well after watching her and the few folks I saw on there phones I went to my phone, but it was in no shape to be a supplement for the entertainment that I was already experiencing. As the time ticked and the club seen to be at the same capacity I didn't let that sway me. Dead or not I was having a good time. The folks that came out were having a good time at least to me they were. I think my only complaint about the entire experience was the bartenders not being able to accept debit. I hardly ever have cash. But with no cash came a free drink so I couldn't even be mad. Free is always good unless the Dude brings it over himself then it's a Rick Ross u.o.e.n.o scenario. And I'm simply not about that life. I will say though the guest of honor offered me a drink and I respectfully declined and I thought that was pretty nice of him given he should have been in VIP relaxing. Overall besides the small crowd and an aggravated friend I personally enjoyed it but have to go when it's people there. If you ever visit St. Petersburg definitely check out Onyx and the many other attractions downtown you'll be glad you did. -MSC

There's always your first...💭💋

So this week I took the time to make necessary steps to transition into what I want to do as far as being Ms.StreetCred and what I want to accomplish. I go back to my years in high school and my interest really broke off in different directions then. I partook in particular electives that would spark my mind to create and come up with my own interpretation of ideas, feeling, situation,or events. Whom ever is reading is probably like  ok what does that have to do with it but here's where electives come into play. I took two typical electives but for me they both allowed me to really dig  deep and really tap into the things that I had conceived. In yearbook and art I had the power to now use my own thoughts and apply them to a provided canvas or assignment. They both were so similar in execution and I mean as similar as a you had to come up with a concept, develop it,elaborate on the construction and complete the structure of it. Art was simple and I loved it because it helped me tap into my creative side with different  techniques like pottery, painting with water color, oil, acrylic, drawing, etc it was GREAT and I actually wouldn't mind getting back into some of them. Now yearbook was something like a worthy adversary because even though writing is my natural talent,  it pushed me to not only use my ability to come up with ideas but it threw me into something I had never been particularly fond of and that was people interaction. Going to events, finding out the scoop, taking pictures, then coming up with layout to combine all that you just did on one sometimes two pages. So as Ms.StreetCred I hope to do something I don't see a lot of females doing in my city and thats promoting the artist that come from our community, going to shows and showing support, reviewing events, giving constructive criticism, highlighting various hustles and most importantly trying to revive the community.By no means am I saying there are not people or females that do not go to shows and support or are not trying to make a difference in our community, If there are any females doing anything Salute to you we need to unite and help restore faith within our community. I am glad to step up and try. I hope those who might peek at this blog get curious enough to follow the blog to watch me as I embark on this journey.
